China Study Trip..
Day 1
I stayed over at Stef's house that night so that i could easily go to the airport. Yup, it was a rushy morning because i had less then fifthteen to twenty minutes to reach Changi Airport. The taxi driver took a longer way to the destination. Disappointed at his actions but well i am here to enjoy my trip right? (Not to mention i was actually moving from Temasek Polytechnic Domestic Airport to OLPS Domestic Airport before i reach Bedok Ria! Lol!)
Upon reaching the airport, i met up with my other friends together with stef and crap abit before we decided to check in. If i remembered correctly there were three significant things. The first would be Sek Leong's new spectacles appeared to have cause to have some facial changes like sharper nose and thinner eyes. (As though he went for plastic surgery. Lol!) The next was Zun Kit's really small Check- in luggage! (Amazingly small and was able to contain 12 days of clothes and shopping stuff at the end of the day!) Lastly would be the intensive check and interview by the staff of United Airlines. This is probably in view to the hightened security after the attempted bombing at Britain. This has caused us to put all our liquidable items into our check-in luggage. Goodness! So we went to The Pacific Coffee Company to have a hot cup of coffee together. There my darling past me a note asking me not to read untill i have checked-in. I guess at the moment i was excited yet emotionally affected as i would not be seeing my little girl for 12 days. That would explained that even Mr. Tommy Yee rushed us to go through immigration, i exchange a few glances with my girlfriend by repeatedly turning back to look. I guess when the immigration lady gave me the green light to leave the country, it was when the adventure begins lol!
Seng Liang headed to the nearest Duty Free Shop immediately to get a 10 box pack of Marlboro Reds! Craziness but funny, we started running to our departure gate which was located at the end of the terminal. It was really far. Anyway when i reached, there were more metal detactors and checks and when i have finally gotten through, i called back to my little girl stef and talked to her before i entered the plane. During that period too, i was notified that i would be leading a group of members for a report of Hai Zhu Beer in Zhu Hai China. In the plane, i exchange seats with a few people and sat next to Zun Kit. Even though it was a Boeing 747, i think the interiors cannot matched Singapore International Airlines (SIA). Same goes to the crew and the whole flight experience. It was not smooth flowing and it felt more like a roller coaster ride then a flight experience.
Realise that two boxes have been taken already... Seng is terrible ... lol

Upon reaching Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Seng Liang, Sek Leong, Zun Kit and myself went straight to the nearest toilet. It appeared that the toilet was not at all nearby! So we went ahead and use. Sek Leong needed to shit from what i can remembered thus, we were held back. When he was done, we ran because we knew we were behind. We took a Sky Train look alike to the arrival gate for immigration. Lol! Very interesting yup. We were quite lost but thank goodness Kun Jun and Lovelle waited for us at the main walkway. Thus we headed to the immigration counter to attain our visa. Hmm then my lips started getting really dry. I went to Watson's to buy lipbalm. Thank goodness Seng Liang was there to help me.
ZK, myself and Nose Job Boy .. Lol .. nah Sek Leong

We went to the coach that would bring us to the Ferry towards Zhu Hai China. The scenary was beautiful and modern. Not forgetting i also saw Hong Kong Scouts Association HQ. Upon reaching the ferry terminal, Zun Kit had to rush off to the toilet for mixing Milk and Orange Juice in his Stomach. Seng Liang needed to go for a puff and we went around shopping. When clearing out, Seng Liang gave us the biggest scare before the trip began. That was losing his passport. It was no where to be found untill i ask him to check all the compartments as we were desperate. That dumbass kept it in one of the compartments he did not frequently use. Oh well. So we took a ferry boat ride lasting about an hour to Zhu Hai.
Just imagine if he had lost his passport, the 2nd person from the right would not be there
Heading to the Ferry ^_^
It was interesting on how they package our luggage in box like crates for storage. Anyway, we went through customs and there i was in a foreign land. Even looking by the roads look oftenly awkward as the roads were all left wheel drive. Strange. We squeeze up the bus and was on our way to lunch followed by the hotel. I have to say Zhu Hai have improved greatly and quicker then Singapore after it has moved from a fishing village towards a manufacturing economy in the past 20 years. An interesting highlight was that there were alot of food wastage and that was rather saddening and disturbing for me. During that time we met four DBA girls of which one of them i already know. Remember Jaclyn from the SB Amazing Race 2006. Yup! Well the rest were year 2 Debbie and Year 3 Qiu Ling and Joanne Tan. Lol! It was later we became quite close after the dinner. Lol!
Lunching area with UIC Student Alice ^_^ She looks like our very own Singapore Kaly ^_^
At the hotel, lol we could not expect much as it was a Three Star Hotel Hua Qiao Jiu Tian. It was nice for our Lecturers to put the six of us on the same level 15 floor. We took a break and then set off again. This was for Foot Reflexology. Oh my it was so good! Lol! Yeah. It has been a while since i actually had one. This must have improved my blood circulation thus triggering me to eat alot more then usual. After dinner, we were given free time to shop. I was more concern on finding the City Magazine for my Darling but i guess i bought a copy of Lost the complete season of 1 and 2. The night life was vibrant and amazing with so many shoppers around. Oh let me remind myself it was a Sunday. Lol!

I guess the night was still early and we wanted to do something. This was when Lovelle suggested cutting and hightlighting her hair. Although She did not go in the end, she roped Seng Liang, Zun Kit and myself to do something to our hair. For the both of them, they wanted to dye their hair. As for myself i wanted a hair cut. We went down and yes, i had to wait for the two of them to dye finish their hair. Gosh i was getting so sleepy and impatient. The weirdest part was when after they are done with my hair, the lady boss ask if my girlfriend was around and when i said no, she offered me her "daughters" for massage! Now that sounds very sleezy.
The two dyed hair overnight guys .... ZK and Xiao Bai aka SL
Before I end Day 1, Ms. June Lin ask me to be the body guard for Lovelle. I guess i had to especially in this foreign land. This arrrangement was not a good one. You will know why later. ^_^ End of Day One
